My Brother Is Close With My Brother-in-Law But Not My Husband. What Can I Do?

The Nest Love and Sex He Said She Said
Guys can be picky when it comes to bromances, but we tend to get over that pretty quickly. Most likely, your brother and brother-in-law have something in common. Maybe it's sports. Maybe it's movies. Maybe it's '80s rock bands. Whatever. The point is, they found something to connect on, which makes it a hell of a lot easier to form a friendship. Chances are, your guy just hasn't found that connection with them yet. Do your husband a favor and share some insider information on him. Nothing too juicy -- but maybe something along the lines of, "He's really into golf," or "Yeah, he has every Bruce Springsteen CD ever made." In other words, give them something to talk about, and the bromance will blossom from there. The good news: Men are pretty simple when it comes to who they're pals with. Remember that this isn't high school, and your mother-in-law's living room isn't the gym locker room. Nobody's there to pick on anybody else, or exclude them, or give them a wedgie. It sounds like your brother and brother-in-law might just have known each other longer or quickly bonded over a shared interest. Give your guy some time to do the same. Not all friendships happen immediately, and probably all your brother, brother-in-law, and husband need is some time to connect without you freaking out about it or checking in on them every five minutes.
